Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, According to the Turkish news outlet, Khawaja Asif, the Defense Minister of Pakistan in his visit to Kabul had met with Mullah Abdul Ghani Bradar, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate, and said if the Afghan leadership does not take action against the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Islamabad will operate inside Afghanistan.
“We showed evidence to the Islamic Emirate on how TTP had planned and launched recent attacks in Bannu and Peshawar from Afghanistan and warned them that further attacks would lead to a tough response from Pakistan, the source quotes from the top Islamabad-based security official.
“Our delegation clearly asked the Islamic Emirate leadership to prevent military activities of the TTP militants based in Afghanistan,” he said. The Turkish news agency did not name the identity of the top security official.
In response to the Pakistani delegation’s claims, Mullah Abdul Ghani Bradar has rejected the presence of TTP militants in Afghanistan and said the Afghan interim regime will not allow any terror group to pose threats to the security of other counties in the region and beyond.
On this travel, Pakistan’s Defense Minister was accompanied by the Director-General of Inter-Services Intelligence, General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum, Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Mohammad Sadiq, and Ambassador to Afghanistan Ubaidur Rehman Nizamani.
