Iran emphasized the necessity of cooperation in health sector with Afghanistan
The Minister of Public Health of Iran, in a meeting with the Acting Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate, called cooperation and bilateral cooperation in the health sector necessary between the two countries and said: the work of the 200-bed heart disease hospital in Bamyan has been completed and equipment will be sent to it soon.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Public Health last night (Wednesday, February 15) published a newsletter saying that Dr. Qalandar Ibad, Acting Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate, and Ain Elahi, the Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in which visited the country.
 
In this meeting, which was attended by Maulavi Fazl Mohammad Haqqani, the head of the Afghan Embassy in Iran, in addition to bilateral cooperation in the health sector, there was a 200-bed specialized hospital for heart patients in Bamyan, a specialized cancer treatment center in Kabul, training of health personnel, cooperation in the field of health. Afghan immigrants and the treatment of eye diseases were discussed.
 
Dr. Qalandar Abad, Acting Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate, invited the Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Republic of Iran to visit Kabul for the bilateral strengthening of the health sector.
 
In this meeting, the Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Republic of Iran called the participation and cooperation in the health sector between the two countries necessary.
 
He said that the work of the 200-bed heart disease hospital in Bamyan has been completed and the equipment will be sent to it soon.
 
Referring to the bilateral cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan, he said: We must create facilities between countries in the health sector based on religious, cultural and linguistic values.
 
This is despite the fact that today (Thursday, February 16, 2023), Qalandar Ibad, Acting Minister of Public Health, has returned to Kabul after his trip to Iran.
