UNICEF should continue its work in Afghanistan away from political issues
In a meeting with the Director General of the UNICEF Office in Kabul, the Minister of State for Natural Disaster Management said that UNICEF should continue its work in Afghanistan away from political issues.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Mullah Mohammad Abbas Akhund, Minister of State for Incident Management Affairs, met with UNICEF General Director Fran Ekwais and Anna Kendrakek, head of the organization's central zone.
 
In this meeting, the Minister of State for Incident Management said: This ministry is non-political and helps the deserving and affected, and UNICEF also does humanitarian work and should continue to serve the people of Afghanistan away from politics.
 
Referring to the problems of the residents of Wakhan district of Badakhshan, he stated that our priority is to take care of the needy in the remotest parts of the country who do not have any good living facilities.
 
At the same time, the head of the UNICEF office in Kabul said that we are trying to serve the people of Afghanistan more.
 
He added that UNICEF has provided significant assistance to the earthquake victims of Khost and Paktika provinces and flood victims in different provinces.
