th in this list with 24 points.
In this report, Denmark took first place with 90 points, Finland and New Zealand took second and third place with equal points. Somalia is the most corrupt country in this list with 12 points.
However, the Islamic Emirate considers the International Transparency Organization's report to be unrealistic and unfair.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, said: "They judge from a distance. Maybe they rely on rumors. They don't study closely and they don't examine the issue closely; therefore, statistics and calculations are not very credit-oriented.
Miwand Rouhani, an expert in good governance and fighting corruption, said: "When their work is locked up in the government, they do not pay bribes to do that work, and the personal use of government resources by government officials has decreased, as well as the appointment of relatives and friends."
Hamed Azizi, a political expert, tells TOLOnews: "One of the major and fundamental reasons that corruption has decreased in Afghanistan is that, unlike the republican system, low-ranking public service officials do not blackmail top-level government officials."
A number of Kabul residents say that although the amount of administrative corruption has decreased; but there is still administrative corruption in some institutions in the country.
In 2021, Afghanistan was in the 174th position of this list with sixteen points and has been among the ten most corrupt countries in the world for more than a decade.
