An armed attack on the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran left 1 dead and 2 wounded

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Azerbaijan's Trend News Agency quoted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country, referring to the incident of the armed attack on the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran this morning (Friday, January 27) and wrote that during At least one person was killed and two others were injured in this attack, the details of which are under investigation.

 

This morning (Friday, January 27), an armed attack took place on the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran.

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country wrote in a statement: "A person armed with a Kalashnikov assault rifle attacked the security post of the embassy and the security guard of the embassy was killed in this attack."

 

According to this statement, two other security guards of this embassy were also injured during this attack, and their condition is satisfactory.

 

This media of the Republic of Azerbaijan did not mention the identity or nationality of the person who died and the injured in this incident.

 

The ministry has stated in its statement: The details of this attack are currently under investigation and additional information in this regard will be made known to the public.

 

Trend News Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan also wrote in another news, without mentioning the identity and nationality of the perpetrator of this attack, that the attacker has been arrested.

 

It has been said that the person who attacked the embassy of Baku is 50 years old, and today he arrived  to the embassy of Azerbaijan with a car, with two children, a 14-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy.

 

He entered the embassy by threatening the security guard and started shooting, killing a 43-year-old employee of the embassy and wounding 2 other employees aged 30-35.

 

According to some sources; The subject of this attack is that the assailant's wife, who is a resident of Iran's West Azarbaijan province, is a lady named Golnar Aliyoa, who traveled to Azerbaijan a few months ago, and for unknown reasons, Baku did not allow her to return during the last few months. Despite the follow-up of his wife, the embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan did not cooperate with him, and this led to the occurrence of a mental disorder in the assailant and he took such an action.
