Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior has announced in a series of tweets today, Wednesday (January 25, 2023), about the meeting of the UN delegation led by Martin Griffiths with the acting head of the ministry, Sirajuddin Haqqani.
The spokesman of this ministry has quoted the UN Deputy Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs as saying that he considered the education of girls and women's work to be their primary right and demanded the cancellation of the ban on women's work and girls' education in Afghanistan.
Sirajuddin Haqqani, following the request of the authorities in Kabul, has emphasized the continuation of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan and added that closing the doors of universities and schools to girls is not a permanent problem, but a temporary one.
Haqqani admitted that there are currently differences of opinion regarding the education and work of women and girls, but it can be resolved.
Previously, Martin Griffiths, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, said in a meeting with the Administrative Deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate that they plan to provide 4.6 billion dollars to 28 million Afghans in 2023.
