The first international congress of influential women will be held in Tehran in two days/ Neighboring countries support the education of Afghan girls
The first International Congress of Influential Women is scheduled to be held in Tehran in two days (Friday, January 20) with the participation of influential, active and elite women from around the world, including Afghanistan, in cooperation with the Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Women and Family Department And three special awards with international recognition will be given to influential women in three levels of science and technology, economic and social. On the sidelines of this congress, a memorandum of understanding between Afghanistan's neighboring countries is supposed to be signed to help the girls and women of this country continue their education at the initiative of Iran's vice president for women and family.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: Dr. Anisa Khazali, the Vice President of Women and Family Affairs of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, today Wednesday, January 18, in a press conference regarding the holding of the first international congress of influential women in Tehran, said: At the national level, women Influential women were introduced to the congress in various ways, including 14,000 women through public relations, and in the past days, 31 selected ones were honored, and now this congress is going to end its work at the international level as well.
He noted that 400 foreign guests, including officials, ministers and some female political activists, science and technology elites, economic activists, social and cultural activists from various Asian countries, Eurasia, Europe, America and also Africa, in the final part of the first congress. Influential women will be present in Tehran.
Dr. Khazali considered the purpose of holding this congress to identify, support and help to develop the abilities and capabilities of elite and influential women at the national and international level. He added: We are trying to have a synergy and a double effort for the growth and development of women in Iran and the world by identifying influential women in the world and establishing a relationship between them and influential women in Iran.
The Vice President of Women and Family Affairs of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran continued, at the end of this congress, some good proposals will be presented by Iran in the direction of interaction between influential women in Iran and other parts of the world, and there will be memorandums and agreements between Iranian and foreign ministries and institutions in the field of women. And it will be signed with the management of women.
Regarding this congress, Ms. Dr. Fatemeh Haqir al-Sadat, secretary of organizing this congress in the international section, also said: This congress has been well received from neighboring countries to European and American countries. Different candidates are evaluated in three levels of science and technology, economic and social activities, and a special award will be given to the winners in these three levels, which will have international prestige.
Regarding the introduction of candidates from Afghanistan, Dr. Haqir al-Sadat said in response to Ava reporter's question: We had many participants from Afghanistan. Some Afghan guests have been invited to attend the final part of the congress and it will be seen who will win the special prize of this congress.
Dr. Khazali, Vice President of Women and Family Affairs of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in response to Ava's reporter's question about special attention to Afghan women, said: Last year, the United Nations appreciated Iran's good support for Afghan women, especially their continued education. We hope to be with Afghan women this year more than in the past and to be able to provide the conditions for their education in Iran in a wider way.
He continued: Various universities have announced their readiness to accept Afghan female students in Iran and some have even registered.
Dr. Khazali noted that on the sidelines of the first International Congress of Influential Women, a memorandum of cooperation on helping the education of Afghan girls will be signed between Iran and other neighboring countries of Afghanistan and a collective decision will be made for the education of these girls.
The imposition of new restrictions by the Islamic Emirate for the education and continuation of education of girls in Afghanistan has had widespread global reactions, including among Islamic countries. The Islamic Republic of Iran has also reacted to the suspension of girls' education in Afghanistan and has announced its readiness to recruit Afghan girls in the country's universities.
