Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Immigrants and Returnees Affairs, yesterday (January 8, 2023), announced the meeting of Khalil Rahman Haqqani, acting head of the ministry, with "Jan Gland", the Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council.
In this meeting with the Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council, Haqqani said that they are trying to create a Sharia framework for women's education and work.
He also added that the international community's humanitarian aid to Afghanistan should not be conditional and added that one or two kilos of aid cannot solve the problem of the Afghan people.
In this announcement, the Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council is quoted as saying that he has pledged to adjust the aid according to the Sharia and cultural values of Afghanistan, but the caretaker government will allow women to work.
According to this announcement, both sides also talked about helping internally displaced people.
England has said that it has helped 850,000 people in Afghanistan so far and plans to help another 700 people.
John Egeland, head of the Norwegian Immigration Council, Arriving in Kabul in the evening on Saturday (January 7), he said on Twitter that due to lack of female employees, they cannot take care of women and children in Afghanistan.
Mr. Egeland also said that the Norwegian Immigration Council respects all the values of Afghans, including their way of dressing, traveling and working environment.
