The President of Iraq emphasized on peace and stability in a meeting with the delegation of Shia Ulema Council of Afghanistan
Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, the President of Iraq, in a meeting with the delegation of the Afghan Shia Ulama Council, expressed Iraq's support for peace and the end of the calamities that the people are suffering from, internal cohesion, increasing security and stability, respect for diversity and freedoms, and avoiding violence.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Following the meetings and discussions of the Afghan Shia Ulema Council delegation in Iraq, the President of Iraq Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid met with this delegation at the Peace Palace in Baghdad.
 
At the beginning of this meeting, Mohammad Akbari, the deputy of Afghanistan's Shia Ulema Council, explained the current situation in Afghanistan and said: Iraq has long-standing and historical relations with Afghanistan, and it has been in a similar situation for the past 40 years, and striving for internal cohesion is an important need of both countries.
 
On the other hand, Abdul Latif Jamal, the president of Iraq, reminded: Afghan people have suffered a lot in the past decades.
 
Emphasizing the Iraqi people's sympathy with the Afghan people, Iraq's support for peace and the end of the calamities that the people are suffering from, internal cohesion, increased security and stability, respect for diversity and freedoms, and avoidance of violence, he declared.
 
It is worth mentioning that due to the publication of conflicting news about the current situation in Afghanistan abroad, especially among the great authorities of Shia imitation in the seminaries of Mashhad, Qom and Najaf Ashraf, the Council of Shia Ulamas of Afghanistan appointed a delegation under the chairmanship of Mohammad Akbari, the deputy of the Council of Ulamas. To explain the current situation of the country and to express the views and activities of this council, he has sent to Iran and Iraq.
