Beijing: America should not challenge China
At the same time as the news about the next year's US military budget and the increase in military aid to Taiwan, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which considers Taiwan a part of its territory, reacted strongly and declared its "firm opposition" to this matter. In the meantime, the President of China has also considered Taiwan as his first red line and insists that America should not cross it.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to Reuters, China, which considers Taiwan a part of its territory, reacted strongly to the American military budget for next year, in which military aid to Taiwan has increased, and "resolutely opposes" it.

According to this report, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China believes that the US military budget of 858 billion dollars, which has set aside up to 10 million dollars for security assistance and accelerating the process of purchasing weapons for Taiwan, can cause serious damage to the peace and stability of the strait.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized in the latest telephone conversation with his American counterpart Anthony Blinken that Washington should stop bullying and not hinder China's development.

Wang added: Washington should pay attention to Beijing's legitimate concerns, stop pushing to prevent China's development, and stop constantly challenging China's red lines.

Wang's comments refer to the meeting of Chinese President Xi Jinping with his American counterpart Joe Biden, where the two sides discussed key issues including Taiwan on the sidelines of the G20 meeting in Bali. This was the first conversation between the leaders of the two countries since 2017.

China considers Taiwan a part of its territory and believes that Washington is destroying Beijing's interests and has warned America that it should avoid any action that could give China a green light for a strong response.

On the other hand, Biden objects to what he sees as China's increasingly hostile and aggressive actions towards Taiwan; Actions that according to the President of the United States undermine peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait and endanger global peace.

But the President of China considers Taiwan to be his first red line and insists that America should not cross it.

According to news reports, Taiwan has been governed by the local government since 1949, and since then Taiwan has kept the flag and symbols of the People's Republic of China for itself, but it does not want to be under the rule of China and believes that the population of 23 million people on this island is its own. They have to decide their fate. Meanwhile, the Chinese government has always believed that this island is an inseparable part of the motherland of China and cannot become independent, and has never rejected the use of force to control Taiwan.

Washington is always considered one of the main and most important international supporters and arms suppliers for Taiwan. Currently, the US continues to sell weapons to Taiwan despite not having official diplomatic relations with Taiwan, and this issue has caused the sale of weapons to Taipei to become a serious tension in the relations between Washington and Beijing.
