The start of the rice processing factory in Baghlan
The officials of the agriculture department of Pul Khomri announced the operation of a private rice processing factory at the cost of 1.5 million US dollars and they say that this factory has the capacity to process fifty tons of rice in one day and night and has created a job for one hundred people.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e-Sharif: Baghlan is considered one of the agricultural and industrial provinces of the country, which has several active factories and plays an important role in the field of rice cultivation, processing and export.

Malem Yar Mohammad, the founder of the private rice processing factory in Pul Khomri city, told AVA today, Wednesday (December 14), that he had started the construction of this factory more than five years ago, and due to war and insecurity, he could not finish it. The establishment of the Islamic Emirate has paved the way for activity.

According to him, this rice processing plant was set up at a cost of more than 1.5 million US dollars, which has the capacity to process fifty tons of rice in 24 hours.

The manager of the rice processing factory said that its internal area is the size of five acres of land, which has facilitated work for 100 people.

He says that the creation of industrial factories has encouraged investors in the country, and along with that, it provides work and encouragement for the countrymen.

Malem Yar Mohammad said: The officials of the Islamic Emirate in the Ministry of Trade and Industry announced any kind of cooperation during their phone call with us, and the local officials of information and culture, agriculture, and agriculture also helped us to work in this sector.

The creation of this factory in line with rice processing has reduced the labor of rice farmers in Baghlan province and they can easily deliver rice and receive their rice at the lowest cost and in the shortest time.

At the same time, Mawlavi Amarkhil, the technology and information officer of the Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of Baghlan Province, confirmed the establishment of this factory and says: Rice production in this province is due to the lack of improved seeds and the lack of a standard processing system, along with the drought has faced many problems to the farmers, meanwhile the rice yield has decreased by 20 percent in this province this year.
