Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The closing ceremony and press conference of "Imam Abu Hanifa National and International Exhibition" was held today Thursday (17th of August) by the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment with the participation of officials of the Islamic Emirate, traders, investors and industry.
Officials of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment at the closing ceremony of "Imam Abu Hanifa National and International Exhibition" stated that more than 35 million Afghanis were sold in this exhibition and added; During seven days, 120,000 citizens have visited this exhibition.
Meanwhile, Yunus Momand, head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, said: If foreign investors want to invest in Afghanistan, the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment is at their service due to the cooperation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
He stated that high taxes are a backbreaker for businessmen and investors, and the Ministry of Finance should cooperate with businessmen and investors in reducing taxes and fines.
He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate has solved the visa problems of businessmen and investors and we thank the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment added that they are trying to open a permanent exhibition of foodstuffs in Kabul, so that citizens can buy their foodstuffs at a cheap price.
Shafiqullah Atai, Executive Chairman of Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, said: More than 600 production companies participated in the national and international exhibition of Imam Abu Hanifah, and businessmen from neighboring countries were also present in this exhibition.
The executive head of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment added that more than 35 million Afghanis were sold in the national and international exhibition of Imam Abu Hanifa.
Stating that more than two million five hundred US dollars were signed in this exhibition, he added: Iranian, Pakistani, and Turkish companies signed contracts worth 17 million Afghani with the country's manufacturing companies.
Atai noted that Afghanistan's exports will not grow without holding exhibitions and economic talks, and the chamber of commerce and investment is trying to increase exports.
Khairuddin Mayel, the commercial vice president of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, said: The national and international exhibition of Imam Abu Hanifah was the first large exhibition held in the country.
He stated that the manufacturing sector of Afghanistan proved that they have the ability to produce and progress in the field of trade, and also the country's manufactured products were displayed for the citizens.
He asked all citizens to use domestic products because the use of domestic products will increase production and employment for young people.
According to the commercial deputy of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, more than 120,000 people have visited the seven-day national and international exhibition of Imam Abu Hanifah.
Seyed Atiqullah Sadat Hofiani, one of the national businessmen of the country and the financial sponsor of the national and international exhibition of Imam Abu Hanifah, said: holding such exhibitions is one of the great achievements of the private sector and the government of the Islamic Emirate.
He considered the holding of this big exhibition unprecedented in the history of Afghanistan and added: more than 70% of the country's needs are domestic products.
Stating that within two years, Afghanistan's electricity will be 24 hours a day, this national businessman said that all problems can be solved through dialogue with the Islamic Emirate.
It should be remembered that more than 600 manufacturing companies and thousands of businessmen participated in the national and international exhibition of Imam Abu Hanifa, who visited this exhibition from different countries of the world, especially the representatives of the embassies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Pakistan, and Turkey.
