WHO Pledge Supporting Health Institutions of Afghanistan
In a meeting with the Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate, the Director of the World Health Organization pledge supporting Afghan health institution by holding development capacity building trainings.
Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, Dr. Qalandar Ebad, Acting Minister of the Ministry of Public Health, met with the Director of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, on the sidelines of the 3th anti-microbial resistance conference in Oman, said the Minsitry of Public Health by publishing a statement.

According to the Ministry statement both sides discussed the standardization of health services in Afghanistan and the provision of health services to areas where there are less or limit health services, the capacity building of health staff and the presence of Afghanistan in the World General Assembly.

Dr. Ebad invited the Director of the World Health Organization to visit Afghanistan and perceive the accomplishment of Afghanistan’s health sector over the past year.

For his part, Dr. Tedros said the World Health Organization will continue its cooperation with the Afghan health sector, and he mentioned that he will travel to Afghanistan in the future.
Meanwhile, the 3th 3th anti-microbial resistance conference in Oman has been held in Oman.

Dr. Qalandar Ebad, Acting Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate, attended the conference at the official’s invitation of the host country, the Ministry of Public Health adding he will deliver a speech at the conference.
