Opening of a technical and vocational training center for 500 young people in Baghlan
The local authorities of Pul Khomri announced the establishment of a technical and vocational training center for 427 young girls and 73 young boys and they said that in addition to the monthly distribution of 7,000 Afghani, food and a package of work tools will be given to the graduates of this course.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e-Sharif: Khal Mohammad Amini, the head of the Aga Khan Foundation in Baghlan province, announced the establishment of a technical and vocational training center for 427 women and 73 young men with the financial cooperation of the World Food Organization. This center teaches them tailoring, leather embroidery, literacy and motorcycle repair.
 
According to him, during this six-month period, in addition to the monthly distribution of 7,000 Afghanis, food materials and a package of work tools are also given to the graduates of this course.
 
Qari Nusratullah Parsa, the head of labor and social affairs of Pol Khumri city, assured the process of identification of people by partner institutions and pass police stations and says that we are obliged to seriously monitor the implementation of this program.
 
Mullah Alam Majidi, the representative of Baghlan Provincial Administration, considered holding this training course very important in reducing poverty and self-sufficiency of women and asked other aid organizations to help the people of Afghanistan in this difficult economic situation.
 
At the same time, Ploushe, one of the leather embroidering students, described women as a vulnerable segment of the society and at the same time asked for more support and cooperation from the supporting institutions in creating job opportunities for women.
 
It should be remembered that some time ago, a vocational training program was held in Nijh for 500 women of this province in the fields of sewing and embroidery.
