The Islamic Emirate should cooperate with industrialists/ we will achieve self-sufficiency with industrialization
Officials of the Union of Green Industries of Afghanistan ask the Islamic Emirate to cooperate with the country's industrialists. According to them, we can achieve self-sufficiency with industrialization.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Yesterday, Saturday (October 22), the officials of the Afghanistan Green Industries Union praised the performance of the Kabul Fire Department for extinguishing fires on time and demanded standardization of the infrastructure of industrial parks.

Abdul Rahim Faizani, head of the Union of Green Industries Industrialists, said: Currently, hundreds of industrial companies are operating in 80 demanding sectors of the country.

Mr. Faizani called the country's self-sufficiency dependent on the growth of industry and production and said: "For various reasons, Afghanistan's industry has not grown enough to compete with the countries in the region and meet the needs of the country's market."

He asked the Islamic Emirate to cooperate with the industrialists of the country so that we can compete with the countries of the region and finally become an industrial country. Because we cannot achieve self-sufficiency without industrialization.

The head of the Afghanistan Green Industries Union said: We hope that the government will pay attention so that the country's minerals are not exported in raw form.

He added that the government should also encourage foreign investors to mine the country's mines "in partnership with Afghans".

Stating that we should not invest in such a way that we will go bankrupt in the next 5 or 10 years, Faizani said: at most 100 industrial and manufacturing companies in one sector can sufficiently meet the needs of the market, there is no need for the government to issue a license.

He added: We want the Islamic Emirate to issue 100 licenses in an industrial and manufacturing sector, so it should not issue any more activity licenses because the large number of licenses has caused companies to go bankrupt, and on the other hand, they produce low-quality products with negative competition.

He called the problem of paying taxes as one of the problems of Afghan industrialists and said: The taxation system was copied from Canada and we ask the government of the Islamic Emirate to simplify the process of taxation by canceling this system.

On the other hand, Qadrat Jamal, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, said: We are trying to solve the problems of industrialists and pay serious attention to their advice.

He emphasized that he is working closely with the industrialists and businessmen of the country to solve the country's economic problems by creating investment, industry and trade and to make the employment environment favorable for the people.

Khan Jan Alkozi, the deputy of the Chamber of Industries and Commerce, says that the country cannot become self-sufficient without industry and production; "We have enough mines and sweet fruit and there is a need to work more in these areas."

Mr. Alkozi also emphasized on solving the problems of industrialists such as infrastructure and electricity and said: A single office should be formed for investors and traders in order to deal with the problems of traders more.

He stated that the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund owe more than 500 million dollars to Afghan businessmen and asked the government to prepare a special policy to solve the banking problems of businessmen and investors.

He said: Investors' and businessmen's money is tied up in banks, but the government wants finance.

It is worth noting that the officials of the Green Industries Industrialists' Union distributed letters of appreciation to some people of the Kabul Fire Department for putting out the fire in the Green Industrial Park on time.
