Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Iraqi media reported this morning (Tuesday, October 4, 2022) that 3 explosions rocked the city of Basra in the south of the country.
According to reports, these explosions targeted the headquarters of Al-Hashd al-Shaabi organization in Basra, and after that, intermittent gunfire was heard from the direction of Al-Tnomeh town.
"Sabrin News" Telegram channel reported: "8 Katyusha rockets hit near the complex of presidential palaces in Basra. Al-Hashd al-Shaabi is confronting the terrorist attack of armed gangs on the complex of presidential palaces.
This Iraqi media, referring to the impact of 4 Katyusha rockets on al-Tanuma area in Basra, quoted a security source and wrote: "Bombing in Basra once again targeted Al-Hashd al-Shaabi headquarters."
Sabrin News stated that the number of Katyusha rockets fired at the presidential palace complex in Basra reached 14, "at least 12 people were killed or injured during the terrorist attacks."
Minutes later, this Iraqi media reported that Al-Hashd al-Shaabi repelled the attack of armed criminals in al-Tanuma area and these people were forced to retreat.
About a week ago, dozens of rioters supporting the Sadr movement gathered in front of Basra and Dhiqar governorate building, broke the doors and entered the building.
