TikTok and PUBG are going to be banned in Afghanistan
The Ministry of Telecommunications and Technology announces the blocking of TikTok social network and PUBG online game by telecommunication companies.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: In the joint meeting of the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology and officials of telecommunications companies held in Kabul yesterday, there was a discussion about the banning of the social network TikTok and the online game PUBG.
 
A few months ago, the Islamic Emirate ordered the closure of the TikTok social network and the online game PUBG, which cause the young generation to go astray.
 
The meeting was held under the leadership of Najibullah Haqqani, Acting Minister of Telecommunications and Technology, with the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, General Directorate of Intelligence, Ministry of Prohibition of Virtue and Complaints, Breshna Company and the Department of Affairs.
 
According to this ministry, in this meeting, the professional teams of relevant ministries and departments that have worked together with telecommunications companies to stop PUBG and TikTok, presented their achievements and reports and ways that can be effective in blocking the mentioned programs. They gave information to telecommunications companies.
 
The ministry added that the telecommunications companies pledged to block the TikTok social network within one month and the PUBG game within three months.
 
Afghanistan is the third country after India and Pakistan to ban this game.
