Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The World Food Program today (Friday, September 16) published a newsletter and said that these aids will cover 170,000 people in Paktika and Khost provinces in the course of six months.
Mariana Franco, who oversees EU aid in Afghanistan, said in a statement that aid will continue to support Afghans affected by natural events. More than 1000 people died in the June 22 earthquake in Paktika and Khost provinces.
This earthquake has been called unprecedented in Afghanistan in the last 20 years.
