Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to reports, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry has sent a letter to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to track down and arrest Jaish-e-Mohammed leader Masoud Azhar.
This action comes as Western powers pressure Pakistan to take action against Azhar, who is considered by the United Nations to be one of the leaders of terrorist groups.
According to Geonews, in a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, the Pakistani side asked the officials of this group to identify and arrest Azhar.
This media quoted a Pakistani official as saying in the letter that Pakistani officials believe Azhar is "hiding somewhere in Afghanistan".
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan has refused to comment on this issue.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan has said that Azhar is probably present in Nangarhar and Kunar provinces.
Geonews has written that it has not yet been confirmed whether Azhar went to Afghanistan before the Islamic Emirate took control of Kabul or after.
