Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, The Islamic Emirate Higher Education Ministry’s spokesman, Ahmad Taqi, announced on Thursday, 8 September, that the Kankor exam this year would take place from 5th – 7th October (13th-15th Mezan), while the high school graduates’ biometric process will soon begin.
The number of high school graduates who will take the 1401 Kankor entrance exam this year remains unknown. No information regarding girls’ participation in this entrance exam has been provided by the Islamic Emirate government’s Ministry of Higher Education.
The Islamic Emirate government’s Ministry of Higher Education spokesman has stated that the Kankor entrance exam will be more “transparent” than in the past and that there will be no “restrictions” for anyone.
This is even though, because of the outbreak of the coronavirus last year, the Kankor exam in Afghanistan was pushed to August, although it had previously been held at the end of the winter season.
Kankor is an entrance exam for universities in Afghanistan. Every year, hundreds of thousands of high school graduates take this exam to continue their studies at public, governmental, or private universities.
