Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, Addressing the need for world’s cooperation, the spokesman said recognizing the Islamic Emirate as the independent government is in the interest of both Afghanistan and the region, adding political and economic engagement is key to success.
“In such a situation, they might not be ready to engage but there is a need for both sides,” Mujahid explains. “They would benefit from it and it is in the interest of Afghanistan and the region.”
Meanwhile, the spokesperson said they want to have an official interaction with the international community, which is their legal right as an independent government and that should not harmed by any means.
“This is our right and no one should look down at our independence and should not inflict damage on us,” Mujahid said. “They may recognize us as an independent country and should engage officially within the world’s norms.”
Addressing a widespread demand for an inclusive government in Afghanistan, the Islamic Emirate spokesman said it is an interference with the country’s internal affairs, exclaiming the time for negotiation is over the moment foreign troops withdrew.
“Its time (for negotiation) has passed. We were saying to solve the issue via negotiations before military actions and solve it via agreement, thus the situation would have been better now,” he said.
