Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu warned these two countries in his remarks today (Wednesday) referring to the continued presence of forces that Turkey considers terrorists in Sweden and Finland.
According to TRT, Çavuşoğlu, in part of his speech, stated that the terrorist propaganda in Sweden and Finland continues and said: "This issue must end, Sweden has not returned the terrorist suspects yet. "They must fulfill their responsibilities or we will block their proposals in NATO."
This week, the Turkish Foreign Ministry summoned the Swedish Chargé d'Affaires in Ankara to announce its strong response to the terrorist propaganda during the demonstration of a Kurdish group in the Stockholm Valley.
Currently, Finland and Sweden have applied to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) due to the crisis in Ukraine, but they were opposed by Turkey, and Turkey accuses them of supporting terrorist groups.
Previously, 30 NATO allies had signed the protocols of Sweden and Finland's accession to this alliance and sent the membership proposals of these two countries to their capitals for legal approval.
Last Wednesday, the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved the resolution of the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO with an overwhelming majority of Republicans and Democrats.
