Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: Palestinian resistance factions issue statements condemning Palestinian Authority actions against Palestinians, describing political arrests, home invasions and insults to the free Palestinian people as patriotic and serving the occupiers and their interests in the West Bank.
According to Palestine Al-Youm, resistance groups said in a statement that Palestinian Authority officials, on behalf of the Zionists, condemned and arrested Palestinian groups, cadres of Palestinian groups, students and political activists, and members of the trade union.
Following the statement, the resistance groups called for the immediate release of all political prisoners and an end to the persecution of Palestinian militants, and called on the Palestinian Authority to end its policy of arresting Palestinians and preventing uprisings and struggles against the occupiers.
At the end of their statement, the groups called on the Palestinian people in the West Bank to rise up against these actions and to oppose them with all their might, and to show that the resistance will continue to be rooted in the consciousness and conscience of the Palestinians.
The statement came as Zionist Channel 12 television recently revealed that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas had instructed cadres and supporters of the Fatah movement to prevent the escalation of anti-Zionist protests in and around Al-Aqsa Mosque.
