An exhibition of books was launched in Takhar
Local officials in Takhar have announced the launch of a book exhibition on the occasion of World Book Week. In this exhibition, which will lasts for three days, more than 10,000 volumes of books with different titles have been exhibited.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e-Sharif: Ansarullah Ansari; The Director of Information and Culture of Takhar told AVA: This exhibition was inaugurated by the Department of Information and Culture of Takhar in cooperation with the provincial official, in front of the Taloqan Municipality building, on Tuesday, June 7, and will continue for three days.
 
According to him, more than 10,000 volumes of books, including religious, political, cultural and social sections, and thousands of copies of weekly and monthly magazines have been exhibited.
 
Ansari stated that the purpose of holding this exhibition is to promote the culture of reading in youth, and said: "Institutionalizing this important culture is the responsibility of the youth in general."
 
He added: "The highest degree of health and well-being of every human being depends on the health of his thoughts, and the level of mental health of each person depends on the level of his reading.

At the same time, the young people participating in the exhibition called on the Islamic Emirate to provide equal education for all sections of society, including girls, and to launch more programs to promote the culture of reading.
 
Meanwhile, during the last week, several book exhibitions have been held in different provinces from Balkh to Badakhshan to commemorate Book Week in order to promote the culture of reading among the people, especially the young generation.
