Italy warns of the beginning of a world bread war
The Italian Foreign Minister announced the beginning of the World Bread War due to the siege of Ukraine.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA), Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Mayo on Saturday expressed confidence in the start of a "World Bread War" due to the siege of Ukraine grain, saying that this situation will prevent access to vulnerable countries.

He also cited the possibility of a new conflict in Africa. "We must end the bread war that has been going on in the past," Di Mayo said. Political instability is possible in Africa. He also said that the coup could take place due to the current grain crisis.

"Before World War II, Ukraine was also one of the most important exporters of cereals and fertilizers that were essential for food security in areas such as the Middle East and North Africa," he said.

Di Mayo also told Russian President Vladimir Putin: "You have to reach a peace agreement immediately.

This agreement also includes a grain agreement and a ceasefire agreement that will allow the evacuation of women, children and citizens under Russian bombardment in eastern Ukraine.

What we need to do is get Russia to lift the blockade on wheat exports from Ukrainian ports, because there is a possibility that Russian warships will not allow 30 million tons of Ukrainian grain to leave Ukrainian ports.

"We are working with Germany, Turkey, France and our other partners to achieve the goal of lifting the embargo on all wheat exports from Ukraine," he said. Italy has announced its intention to help Ukraine demine its ports and build a sea corridor to transport wheat.

Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi also telephoned Putin to urge him to begin the process of freeing blocked grain in Ukrainian ports.
