Herat police chief injured in militant attack
Police chief of Afghanistan's western Herat province was injured in an attack by militants on Wednesday, sources told 1TV.
Obaidullah Noorzai was injured by a roadside bomb during a clash between security forces and Taliban in Pashtun Zarghun district.
Five police and four soldiers were also injured in the clash.
Six militants were killed while three others were wounded.
The convoy of Afghan forces were trying to clear Taqcha village in the district of Taliban militants.
A spokesman for provincial police confirmed injuring of three police in the incident, but denied his boss was one among them.
