Turkey has stepped up measures at its eastern border crossing with Iran after four death cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) were reported in its neighbouring country, Demiroren News Agency reported.
The precautions taken by Turkey's eastern province of Van include installing thermal cameras and setting up a health room at its Kapikoy customs gate.
The staff at the border gate will be trained about the virus and start using protective masks and equipment, according to the report.
The local administration said they will also seek advice on limiting the entry from and exit to Iran by road and rail.
