Iranian coach Ramin Babaei, who has previously served as Iranian volleyball team coach, has been named as the new coach for the Afghan national volleyball team.

Babaei has previously led the Iranian Gonbad volleyball team.
"I believe Afghanistan has tall and young players that can make a lot of progress," Ramin Babaei said about Afghan national volleyball team.
The team members currently has started their one-month training camp under their new Iranian coach in Birjand, Iran.
After camp, they will head to Dhaka, Bangladesh, for the Central Asian Volleyball Tournament.
