‘There Is No Place For Irresponsible Gunmen In Our Law’: President Ghani

Speaking at a police graduation ceremony in Kabul on Monday, President Ghani declared that Afghan Police have his full support in implementing rule of law.

“Afghan women and children must feel secure while going to the police. Residents should not be in fear of extortion,” President said.
He emphasized that the Afghan security forces have the right to use the power but they should know the limits.
“Only trial can order the execution. Security forces have no right to kill someone without trial,” he asserted.
Ghani further added that the interference from outside of the Ministry of Interior Affairs should be reduced to zero.
