The survey by Afghanistan Cancer Foundation covered 500,000 respondents in 10 provinces.
Capital Kabul had most number of breast cancer patients, followed by Balkh, Panjshir and Kapisa provinces, said Javed Safi, head of ACF.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan Medical Council said that breast cancer was deadliest disease for women after hearth diseases.
Nasrin Oryakhil, head of AMC, said that preventing breastfeeding, smoking and obesity were major causes of breast cancer.
Officials were speaking at a conference in Parwan province launch a campaign for breast cancer awareness.
