The Red Unit militants of the Taliban group clashed with ISIS fighters in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan, the local authorities said Sunday.

The Governor’s Office of Nangarhar said in a statement that the Taliban militants clashed with ISIS fighters in Zawi area of Khugyani district on Saturday night.
The statement further added the Taliban militants killed 9 fighters of ISIS Khurasan terrorist group during the 5-hour long clash.
Furthermore, the ISIS fighters killed 2 militants of the Red Unit of Taliban and wounded 2 others, the statement said.
The Taliban and ISIS groups have not commented regarding the latest infighting so far.
