AVA- Iran’s Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade will support the Iranian companies which are active in the fields of export to Afghanistan, Reza Rahmani said in a meeting with Tehran's Ambassador to Kabul Mohammad Reza Bahrami on Saturday.
He referred to the cultural and historical ties between Iran and Afghanistan, and said that the two Iranian and Afghan nations have always enjoyed close and friendly relations.
Increase of exports to the neighboring countries is on the agenda of the industry ministry and Afghanistan is a top priority for Iran, Rahmani added.
Bahrami, for his part, said that the Afghan and Iranian traders are keen to improve trade exchanges between the two countries.
Earlier this year, Rahmani said that government considered non-oil exports as a driving force behind the economic development of the country, reassuring that exporting more is high on the agenda of the country in the current year.
“Islamic Republic of Iran enjoys high potentials in various sectors to materialize the most economic objectives, especially in the field of brands," he said in February.
In the meantime, public and private sectors of the government had established fair interaction among themselves and there is not any disagreement between them, Rahmani said, adding, “Under such circumstances, export barriers should be resolved completely.”
He reiterated that his ministry would focus on exports and mineral sector.
