Taliban militants killed; vehicle destroyed in Khost airstrikes
The security forces carried out a series of airstrikes in south-eastern Khost province of Afghanistan killing at least 12 Taliban militants.

The informed military sources said the airstrike was carried ou tin Sabari district of the province.
Furthermore, the airstrikes destroyed a vehicle belonging to Taliban fighters, the informed military sources said Saturday.
“Strikes in Sabari district resulted in 12 Taliban fighters killed and destroyed 1 vehicle,” the sources added.
The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the airstrike so far.
The security situation in some districts of Khost province remains disputed. has deteriorated during the recent months.
Taliban militants are active in remote and restive areas of the province and often attempt to carry out terrorist related activities against the government and security institutions.
In the meantime, the Afghan forces are busy conducting counter-terrorism operations against both groups in this province.
Similarly, the U.S. forces also conduct regular airstrikes in restive districts of Khost to suppress Taliban and other anti-government militants
