AVA- Speaking a gathering in northern Balkh province, Atamr said the term of the current government will end on 22nd of May and people will eventually reach to a conclusion that the continuation of activities of government will be illegitimate.
Atmar further added that the formation of an interim government has a top priority for them considering the constitution of Afghanistan and to ensure the nation that his team will continue to its campaign to turn the ambitions of the nation into reality.
Pointing towards the casualties of the armed forces and civilians the past five years, Atmar said the only way to respond to current situation is to follow a justified peace process, noting that nearly 50 thousand security personnel and civilians have been killed in the past five years while nearly 98 thousands other have sustained injuries.
This comes as the Independent Election Commission (IEC) officials last week announced that the presidential elections have been postponed until September.
Hawa Alam Nuristani, the Chairperson of the Independent Election Commission of Afghanistan told reporters in Kabul that the presidential elections will be organized on 28th of July.
In other parts of his speech, Atmar accused the government leaders for their actions to jeopardize peace process led by international community and the United States of America.
