AVA- “Afghanistan will not go back and nothing is acceptable except elections,” Mr Fahim said, talking about the peace process. “Taliban must accept the voice for peace as well as the current Afghanistan system”.
According to Adib Fahim, Afghan people support the current system and there is also a sense of reconciliation the legitimate demands of the Taliban will be addressed in the face of peace.
“The peace talks intensified, but the oppositions do not accept the current system, seeking to impose their own system; you once had the opportunity to rule but failed. Today, you expect people to accept you, remember that people do not have a happy memory from your system,” Fahim added.
He stressed that the Taliban have mentally stuck in the past 20 years but the Afghan nation developed and are no longer the nation of the past 20 years.
“The Taliban should end the killings and make peace on the call of the country’s Marshall, who has repeatedly emphasized that we, like all other nations, have the right to live,” he said.
Marshal M. Qasim Fahim, the former first vice president died on 9 March 2014 at the age of 56.
