AVA- Ibrahimi made the remarks in the Second Speakers’ Conference underway in the Iranian capital and attended by Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, China, Russia, and Afghanistan.
He added that terrorism has never respected any rituals or religions and has always committed the worst crimes.
Terrorists are ruining the people's lives for money and fanning the flames of chaos in the region, he stressed.
During the past two decades, Ibrahimi said, Afghanistan has been a safe haven of terrorists which have inflicted heavy losses in this country.
'We are doing our best to prevent terrorists from damaging the people's lives,' he added.
'The conference's members enjoy common interests and cordial relations,' he said, adding that for sure this event is considered as a step forward for tackling challenges and fostering counter-terrorism efforts.
The Second Speakers’ Conference, aimed at combating terrorism and strengthening regional communications, kicked off in Tehran on Saturday with the attendance of Iran President Hassan Rouhani.
Majlis (Iran parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani, Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi were also present at the event.
Confronting terrorism, reviewing experiences, studying current strategies and establishing new regional ones, developing communication and strengthening regional cooperation, achieving peace and sustainable development in the region are among the topics to be discussed during the two-day conference.
The first edition of the conference was held in Pakistan’s capital city of Islamabad where the six countries decided to boost regional cooperation to combat terrorism.
