AVA- Afghan National Army’s Shaheen Military Corps commander Maj. Gen. Wali Mohammad Ahmadzai told reporters in Kabul the officers were removed and replaced based on the findings of the Ministry of Defense (MoD)’s Board of Selection.
He said the newly appointed 110 officers of the corps were professional, qualified and were not involved in corruption.
He said the evaluation of the Selection Board showed that officers who lacked necessary qualities to discharge their duties had been dismissed from the Shaheen Corps divisions and brigade.
Ahmadzai hoped the new officers would prove effective for security of the north and northeastern region of the country.
