AVA- The Office of the National Security Council (ONSC) said 31 pilots would be trained on flying AC fighting and other functions.
NSA Mohib thanked the US for the opportunity and shared his thoughts with the Afghan pilots. AC fighter jets, equipped with modern fighting capabilities, have been chosen after considerations of the war in Afghanistan.
He told the pilots they would help protect the common people against terrorists after completing that training and joining the battle. He asked them to share their problems through the Afghan embassy in the US with the NSC.
The statement said the first batch of AC-2008 aircraft was expected to be handed over to Afghanistan this year.
