Balkh governor’s nephew murdered by a girl in Mazar city

AVA-Provincial governor’s spokesman Ahmad Munir Farhad confirmed that one of the close relatives of Mohammad Ishaq Rahgozar has been murdered in an incident late on Tuesday night.
He did not elaborate further and the circumstances surrounding the murder of the relative of Rahgozar have been not been ascertained so far.
However, a security source in provincial police commandment confirmed that the victim, Saifuddin, is the nephew of the governor and he was murdered by a girl late on Tuesday night.
The source further added that the Saif was initially wounded in the attack and succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Wednesday morning as he was receiving treatment in the hospital.
The security source also added that the assailant, a young girl, has been arrested by the security forces in connection to the incident.
The main motive behind the murder has not been ascertained so far but this comes as there has been a sharp rise in criminal related incidents across the country, specifically in the cities and provinces.
