Iran Warns Washington, Tel Aviv of Security Consequences of Relocating US Embassy to Quds
Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani warned the US and Zionist regime of consequences and insecurities resulting from Washington's controversial opening of embassy in Jerusalem al-Quds.
AVA- "Trump has become a symbol of chaos and increased violence on the international scene due to his strategic mistakes of supporting terrorism and violating the nuclear deal and the international laws and treaties as well as the Palestinian people's rights," Shamkhani said on Monday in reaction to the US relocation of its mission from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
He warned that the US move will backfire on its plotters, and said, "The first consequence of this catastrophic action will be more solidarity and unity among the world Muslims to defend their sanctities and acceleration of the Zionist regime's collapse."
"Given the security and political consequences of any decision on Quds city, the Zionist regime and the US should directly account for the instability and insecurity resulting from such unwise moves," Shamkhani said.
Washington is scheduled to move its diplomatic mission to Jerusalem on Monday, as the US Presidential Delegation - which consisted of President Donald Trump's daughter and son-in-law, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin and Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan - arrived in occupied Palestine on Sunday afternoon ahead of the ceremony.
Several other American politicians will be attending the ceremony, but are arriving separately, according to the Jerusalem Post.
The event will be boycotted by most European Union ambassadors in occupied Palestine, as some 32 of the 86 envoys accepted the invitation, Haaretz reported.
Also, several European states declined the invitation to relocation of the US embassy to Jerusalem for technical reasons or due to their stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
