New contracts signed for Kajaki Dam Phase-II and Musa Qala Dam projects

AVA- The Office of the President, ARG Palace, said the contracts were signed at the end of the High Economic Council meetign on Monday evening.
The contract for 100 megawatt Kajaki Dam Phase-II hydropower project was signed between deputy water and energy minister Mohammad Gul Khulmai and the 77 Construction Company chief Sulami Salif.
Another contract was also signed for the purchase of electricity from the Kajaki Dam Phase-II project between the State Power Utility Firm, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, chief Eng. Amanulah Ghalib and the 77 Construction Company chief.
According to ARG Palace, the 77 Construction Firm will invest around 175 million US Dollars on the project via public and private sector partnership program.
The ARG Palace also added that the government is expected to receive 93 million US Dollars of revenue from the project besides the project will generate work and econnomic opportunities.
Another contract was also signed for Zamindawar Canal and Musala Qala Dam construction between the Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock minister Nasir Ahmad Durrani and the 77 Construction Firm.
