Local officials confirmed eight people were killed in a bus accident in Herat on Wednesday.
Officials said 13 others were wounded in the crash.
Herat police spokesman Abdul Ahad Walizada, confirmed the accident and said the incident happened on Wednesday morning when a passenger bus travelling from Herat city to Farsi district crashed into a truck on the Adraksan district road.
Walizada said women and children are among the victims.
