Afghanistan’s exports reach $723 million
The Ministry of Finance officials on Monday informed regarding a rise in the exports of Afghanistan during the current Financial Year 1396.

AVA- The officials said Afghanistan’s exports reached $ 723 million in FY 1396, while exports were $ 580 million two years earlier. Meanwhile, revenues has reached 170 billion AFN in FY 1396, which represents an increase of about AFN 70 billion compared to two years ago.

Ajmal Abdul Rahimzai, Head of public relations and spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance, informed in this regard during a press conference on Monday as he was presenting the results of the 19t session of High Economic Council (HEC), according to the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC).

Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology (MCIT)’s proposal to amend the law on Telecom Service fees, analysis of the value chain of Talak mineral and report on lease contract of cement plants and coal mines of Karkar-Dodkash in Baghlan province, were discussed at the HEC meeting, Abdul Rahimzai said.

According to him, at the meeting of the High Economic Council, MCIT’s proposal to amend Article 10 and second clause of Article 11 of the low on Telecom Service fees was approved and it was decided that for further proceedings it should refer to Cabinet meeting.

At the meeting of High Economic Council, it has been decided that investors should be encouraged in the extraction and processing of Talak mineral and their documents should be submitted to the bidding after evaluation.

Mr. Abdul Rahimzai said that 50 percent decrease has happened in bank guarantees and ownership of Audio-Visual media outlets. He also said: Afghanistan’s economic growth is 2.6 percent in the fiscal year 1396, which is promising for future of the country.
