Afghanistan and India launch air corridor between Kabul and Mumbai cities
The second air corridor between Afghanistan and India was formally inaugurated between Kabul and Mumbai cities by the Afghan and Indian officials.

AVA- Speaking during the inauguration ceremony of Kabul-Mumbai air corridor, the deputy chairman of Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries Khan Jan Alokozai said the new route will help expand the export of the Afghan fresh fruits and other commodities.

The second vice president of Afghanistan Mohammad Sarwar Danish was also present during the inauguration ceremony of the new route.

He said the new route will help the boost the exports of fresh and dry fruits as well as the medicinal herbs.

Danish further added that the Afghan government is hopeful that the other neighboring countries of Afghanistan will also adopt the policy of economic development in their regional strategy.

The air corridor between Afghanistan and India was formally inaugurated by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in mid-June this year with the first consignment arriving in New Delhi, the capital city of India.

In the meantime, the Afghan officials are saying that since the inauguration of the air corridor, commodities worth more than $20 million have been exported to India.
