At least eight Afghan police officers were killed in Taliban attack on a security checkpoint in Ghazni province, local officials said.
AVA- The spokesman of Ghazni governor, Muhammad Arif Noori said, “Afghan Police suffered casualties when Taliban militants attacked a security checkpoint in Shahbaz area of Ghazni city last night.”
Noori noted at least ten armed oppositions of the government were killed and five of them wounded in the incident.
He further added that two other Police officers were also wounded in the attack.
The armed Taliban group has not commented regarding the incident so far.
