Kapisa police have claimed the Taliban's deputy shadow governor was among 35 fighters killed in an air strike on Friday night.
AVA- Kapisa police claim at least 35 Taliban insurgents , including the group's deputy shadow governor, were killed on Friday night in an Afghan Air Force strike.
Kapisa police said Ahsanullah, the Taliban’s deputy shadow governor for Kapisa province, was also killed in the airstrike.
Abdul Razaq Yaqoubi, Kapisa police chief said the strike took place in Shaloti village of Tagab district when the Taliban fighters had gathered ahead of carrying out an attack on police check posts.
Several residents also confirmed that Taliban suffered heavy casualties in the air strike.
Taliban has not yet commented.
