Afghan football team qualified for the AFC U-16 Championship to be held next year in Malaysia.
AVA- Placed in five-member Group C in the qualifiers, Afghanistan finished second after beating Kyrgyzstan, Bhutan, and Lebanon.
They had completed their group qualifying round campaign on September 24. However, they were still waiting the results of other groups.
Afghanistan qualified as one of six best runners-up after South Korea defeated China 1-0 to win Group H.
The 18th edition of U-16 Championship organized by the Asian Football Confederation in 2018 in Malaysia will involve 16 teams.
The top four teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
