AVA- Hosts Jordan scored their three goals in the first half of the play and it was in the 72th minute of the game when Zubayr Amiri scored Afghanistan’s first and only goal.
The scoring for Jordan began after 24 minutes as Saeed Murjan directed a header from Odai Zahran’s cross past Afghan goalkeeper Ovay Azizi at King Abdullah II International Stadium.
With the result, unbeaten Jordan remain table toppers of Group C while Afghanistan remain on bottom.
A total of 24 teams in six groups are competing in the third round of qualifiers for 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
Afghanistan have played three matches in the campaign so far, drawing against Vietnam and losing against Cambodia and Jordan.
In their next encounter, Afghanistan will again face Jordan in the Tajik capital city Dushanbe on 10thOctober.
