Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has warned the Ministry of Interior (MoI) to cut the ministry’s budget if it fails to remove corruption and bring reforms.
AVA- During the introduction of Wais Ahmad Barmak as the ministerial nominee for the Ministry of Interior, Ghani stressed that fighting corruption is the main demand of the country.
“Those who are preventing reforms in the Ministry of Interior should hear my message that I will cut the budget if corruption not removed,” said President Ghani.
He also noted those who became General with influences and political pressures cannot be acceptable anymore.
The widespread corruption among police has always been questioned and criticized, but now the time will show the effectiveness of President’s new option in fighting corruption.
