A contract was signed on Saturday to design government complex near historical Darul Aman palace, west Kabul.
AVA- The deal was signed by Afghan Minister of Urban Development Sayed Sadat Mansoor Naderi and head of Khatib & Alami, an Arab company, in the presence of President Ashraf Ghani in his palace.
Citing scatteredness of ministries as a problem, Naderi said that the complex will bring together the government institutions in one place.
He said that the complex will cover hundreds of acres of land.
Based on the agreement, the company is expected to complete designing of the complex and cooperate with the ministry in preparing master plan in the area in two years.
Meanwhile, head of the company assured that it will complete designing of the project in due time.
He said that his company is active in 35 countries with Islamic architecture.
